Curtis has over 30 years of experience in real estate. He began his career in 1976, as an agent in a highly successful Century 21 office and he was trained in all the systems that most real estate agents still use today. He has extensive experience as both a real estate lender and broker. An early innovator in software and internet applications for the real estate and mortgage industries, Curtis saw how using personal computers could improve processing of home loan applications and become a great tool for finding the right home. He founded a company called LoanStar Systems in the early 1980's and their software became the second most widely used nationally to process home loan applications while setting the industry standard for outstanding customer service. He also founded Rates Online in the mid-80's, an online system that enabled mortgage brokers to search a database of hundreds of loan programs offered by dozens of lenders to instantly find the best loan product to suit a borrower's needs. In the mid-90's, he founded a company that designed one of the first real estate websites to provide home buyers a way to search for homes online and receive email alerts as new listings came on the market that matched their specific home search criteria. Curtis always looks for ways to utilize innovative technology to improve the experience for home buyers and sellers. Amazed that real estate agents have continued to embrace the same business models, systems and tools that he was taught 30+ years ago, Curtis saw the need for a new and better way of doing business in real estate. His vision would create a dramatically superior experience for everyone who bought, sold, or financed a home. By looking outside the world of real estate, Curtis identified the best business practices of other industries, considered how they could be adapted to real estate, and envisioned the real estate office of the future. He shared this vision with his friends and business associates. One of them, Jay Gallagher, saw the potential of Curtis' vision to change the real estate industry. Jay, a veteran of the Persian Gulf War and Somalia, also comes from an entrepreneurial background having founded a general contracting company called HomeMenders. He brings his extensive experience, not only in the housing industry but also in marketing, systems implementation and management to the mix. The friendship and partnership of Curtis and Jay form the nucleus of the HomesMax HomeSellers team approach to real estate.
